End-of-Year Goal Assessment and Setting

January is two days away! Can you believe how fast this year has gone? Over the next few days, I urge you to give yourself some time to focus on your end-of-year goals assessment and goal setting for the following year. Let's check in with ourselves about how we're doing

Take stock of your goals

You most likely gave yourself various goals at the top of the year, both personal and professional accomplishments to achieve. Take stock of your achievements and how those goals went for you. You may have bought a house, worked on self-improvements, or deepened your personal relationships. Professionally, you may have attended a conference you've wanted to attend, finished a course, or landed that promotion you'd been after for a while. Congratulate yourself on all of your hard work — and keep going!

You could have accomplished these goals, or they might still be a work in progress. What kept you from hitting your goal? Logistical or resource issues could have prevented you, as well as self-limiting beliefs. You must believe you can and are ready for the success you desire!

Some of us may still need to meet our goals for this year. If this is something more long-term, speak to yourself about how this goal fits into your next year and if it makes sense to continue to work towards this achievement. Being realistic about whether these goals are still suitable for us by taking inventory of your goal list is a vital step towards goal setting. Using your community to find an accountability partner can keep you honest and on pace to hit your goal. 

Let's use the end of the year to record all of our wins and opportunities for growth for 2023. The next point in our journey is right around the corner; use the new year as a fresh start!
